‘Parikshe’ waiting for results!

A film ‘Parikshe’ (Examination) is now waiting for the result that has to be given by the audience. Belgaum district MLA Sanjay Patil has invested Rs.65 lakhs on the film shot in 16 days in Belgaum region. This an off beat film by debutant Chiru Ravindra who has waited for three years to direct this film. The film will be released next month says producer cum MLA Sanjay Patil who has also acted in the film as MLA.

The focus of the film is on the upper and lower caste divide plus the dogging issue of the society AIDS. Director Chiru Ravindra was an assistant to Seetharam Karanth and in television he has directed ‘Neereksha’.

Anu Prabhakar (daughter in law of actress Jayanthi) comes back to acting after Just Math Mathalli. She has changed her accent in this film to suit the Uttar Kannada region. Anu feels extremely happy for having acted in a film of 97 years doyen of theatre Enagi Balappa.

R Manjunath a veteran has stood behind the camera. For fourteen days the shooting was held in Belgaum district Hannikere, Gajapathi, Bairanahalli, Kukadolli, Bendigeri villages. Hemanth Kumar has scored the music for one song written by Geethapriya. Sangeetha Katti sung this song. Screenplay for this film is lent by Seetharam Karanth. Shashidhar Bhat penned the dialogues.
